Size the market for me from a GTM view — not a Gartner top-down number, but who actually writes you a cheque in year one, and how many of them exist?

The question a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) asks.

The short answer

Bottom-up, not top-down: year one is 3 Enterprise logos ($324K ARR at floor) plus one self-serve subscriber a month, hunted in an India-first beachhead of 1,600+ GCCs with INR checkout already live.

The full executive answer

I will give you the honest bottom-up version rather than a trillion-dollar TAM slide. Our serviceable entry market is defined by who each pricing tier was written for — the tiers on our pricing page are literally labelled with their buyer: Basic for consultants, founders and small AI teams; Pro for VPs and Heads running transformation programmes; Max for CXOs and boards; Enterprise for GCCs, MNCs and regulated industries. The beachhead is India-first: the country hosts over 1,600 global capability centres and a deep bench of AI-transformation consultancies — both segments that buy in INR, which our checkout already supports, and both underserved by US-priced governance suites.

Bottom-up: three Enterprise customers at the $9,000-a-month floor is $324K ARR; the same year, a modest self-serve base — our stated target is at least one new subscriber a month — layers on Pro and Max revenue. That is the year-one SOM: deliberately small, deliberately concrete. The SAM is every enterprise whose board must now govern AI decisions — which regulation like the EU AI Act and India’s DPDP is converting from "nice to have" into budgeted obligation; our compliance modules track 25 countries precisely because that regulatory forcing function is the market’s growth engine.

In TAM/SAM/SOM discipline: I can defend the SOM with named targets and live pricing, the SAM with the regulatory driver, and I will decline to defend a top-down TAM number I would have to invent. A CMO who has watched a hundred TAM slides will respect that more than a made-up curve.

Grounded in: TAM/SAM/SOM bottom-up sizing; beachhead strategy per Crossing the Chasm — win a definable segment (India GCC + transformation consultancies) before generalising.
